The Maker Space at First City Creatives is a shared creative playground built for curious minds, busy hands, and people who just want to make something. Instead of buying supplies you’ll use once, members get access to a thoughtfully stocked library of donated art materials and tools, all ready to use right here in the studio.

Whether you’re painting, stitching, collaging, building, or experimenting with something new, the Maker Space is designed to remove barriers and invite play. It’s perfect for families, hobbyists, homeschoolers, artists, and anyone who’s been saying, “I just want time and space to create.”

Membership gives you open access to the Maker Space during designated hours, use of shared tools and supplies, and the freedom to explore at your own pace. You’ll also be part of a creative community that values sustainability, generosity, and learning through doing. Materials stay in the space so everyone can keep creating, and donations help the library grow for future makers.

First City Creatives is a nonprofit, and every Maker Space membership helps support accessible arts programming, community events, and creative opportunities in Kansas’ First City.
