🎨 After School Art Club – Spring Series (January–May)
Creative enrichment for students | All supplies included
Our After School Art Club is a relaxed, hands-on creative space where students can unwind after the school day while building real art skills. Each month focuses on a new artistic theme, allowing students to explore materials, techniques, and creative problem-solving in a fun, supportive studio environment.
Class Schedule
Wednesdays | 4:30–6:00 PMClasses meet weekly and build skills throughout the month as students experiment, create, and grow their confidence as artists.
Monthly Focus & Themes
💎 January – UV Resin & Functional Art
Students will explore UV resin as a creative medium while learning safe handling, design planning, color mixing, and layering techniques. Projects may include jewelry, charms, keychains, and small decorative pieces that blend creativity with function.
🎨 February – Painting Explorations
This month focuses on expressive painting techniques. Students will experiment with acrylic and water-based paints while learning color theory, brush control, blending, texture, and composition through guided and open-ended projects.
🧩 March – Mixed Media & Visual Storytelling
Students will combine paint, paper, drawing, wax and fabric and found materials to create layered artwork with narrative elements. Emphasis will be placed on composition, texture, and using multiple materials to communicate ideas visually.
🌿 April – Nature, Texture & Organic Forms
Inspired by the changing season, students will explore nature-based art through texture, organic shapes, and natural color palettes. Projects will include texture studies, observational work, relief surfaces, and mixed media pieces influenced by patterns found in the natural world.
🧠✨ May – Art Meets Design: Creative Problem Solving
We’ll wrap up the spring session with a design-focused month centered on creative thinking. Students will work through artistic challenges, plan and revise ideas, and apply skills learned throughout the semester to create original, intentional projects that highlight their growth.
After School Art Club
A class cancellation notice received less than seven days prior to the event date is not subject to a refund. The customer will be provided an opportunity to reschedule to a later class that is similar in content within one month from the date that the original reservation was made. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay the difference in class costs if the future class is more expensive in nature than the
rescheduled class. Cancellation of a class outside of the seven-day window is subject to a full refund or rescheduling to a later date. Classes that are missed by the customer are not subject to refund or rescheduling except at the sole discretion of First City Creatives Staff.
