The Duck Hunt is back.
The 4th Annual Leavenworth Duck Hunt
Saturday, August 15 | 10 AM to 1 PM
Downtown Leavenworth
Somehow we've been doing this for FOUR years now, which means one thing: you people really enjoy running around downtown chasing tiny ducks.
We're not here to judge.
Grab your favorite people and get ready for a scavenger hunt packed with clues, challenges, ridiculous photo missions, hidden ducks, local businesses, a little Leavenworth history, and plenty of opportunities to embarrass yourselves for points. Honestly, that's what makes it fun.
There will be prizes, bragging rights, and the annual debate over whether your team name was actually clever.
How It Works (The Official Duck Handbook):
Build Your Team
Teams of 4 to 6 are perfect, but larger families (with tiny kiddos) are welcome to stay together. Just maybe don't recruit your entire extended family reunion.
Flying solo? Find teammates on the Facebook event page or finally invite that neighbor you've been waving at for the last six months.
Check Your Email
The evening before the hunt, your team captain will receive your login information. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. Ducks are suspicious like that.
Download the App
One person on your team will need our scavenger hunt app, internet access, and a camera. A fully charged phone is highly recommended. We believe in you.
Name Your Team
Choose a team name, add a photo, and score a few creativity points before the game even starts. Family friendly, please.
10 AM | Check In at First City Creatives
Pick up your game bag, get your final instructions, and prepare yourselves.
10:30 AM | The Hunt Begins
Clues unlock in the app and send you exploring downtown businesses, landmarks, hidden ducks, and a few surprises. Bonus challenges will pop up throughout the game if you're looking to climb the leaderboard.
1 PM | Return to Headquarters
Head back to First City Creatives for prizes, photos, bragging rights, and a few random giveaways because sometimes luck deserves a prize too.
A Few Friendly Rules:
Please be respectful while visiting downtown businesses. They're helping make this event possible.
Stay together as a team. Splitting up is cheating. Driving from clue to clue is also cheating. You know who you are.
Judges' decisions are final, even if your duck costume deserved an Oscar.
Most importantly, remember this is supposed to be fun. Laugh, be a little competitive, explore downtown, and take the kind of photos you'll rediscover six months from now and immediately start laughing again.
Registration is now open, so gather your flock, come up with the most ridiculous team name you can think of, and get ready for another year of duck-related chaos.
