The Dopamine Squirrel Swap Meet

Are you one of the Squirrel Army? Do you collect new hobbies and crafts like some people collect Pokemon? Are you always looking for that next dopamine hit? US TOO! So we are willing to bet you have a few (hundred) abandoned art and craft supplies that maybe have been filling up your home more than you maybe want to admit. (Because, no you can not see our basement) So we have found a solution! We are hosting our first (probably bi-annual) Arts and Crafts Supplies SWAP MEET!

The rules are simple: Bring your still in great shape Art and Craft items down to the studio by Wednesday, September 13th and get a ticket for each item you donate to the swap. Then come back on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 16th between 10am-2pm and use your tickets to 'buy' new items!

Rules of Swapping: Donations: Items need to be of the Arts and Crafts theme (I am sure we could make art out of anything, but let's stick to items found at a craft store) Please group like things together, or at least make groupings that make sense. (While it is awesome to donate 100 tubes of paint, that would not be 100 tickets, maybe groups of 10 of rainbow colors or something would be more manageable)

All dropped-off items need to be received by 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 13th. (our helper squirrels need time to sort and organize everything for Saturday)

You will receive 1 ticket for each item (or group of items) dropped off. We will put your name and number of tickets on a list and tickets will be handed out on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 16th.

Items dropped off will be considered donated and not returned in the event that they are not claimed at the swap. We are hoping that everything finds a new home, but if not we will be sure to put it to good use! We are also working on a free art supplies closet and art lending library here at the studio!

THE SWAP: Doors will open at 10 AM on Saturday, September 16th. We will have the items set up around the studio grouped by type. All items are first come first served.

1 Ticket=1 Item, If you want more items than you brought, or if you didn’t bring any items, additional items are $5 each. (We have had a request to not allow you to bring home more than you brought by your loved ones. All we can say is, we didn’t see anything)

The Swap ends at 2 pm, or when all items are gone, whichever comes first.
